私達のプログラム
エジソンが、母親や周りの人達によって、電気や発明の才能を開花させたように、当エジソンキッズでも、私達が率先して、子ども達一人一人の才能を見出し・認め・伸ばし、自信を持って世に出ていける大人になっていけるよう応援します。
エジソンキッズでは、子ども達の才能を伸ばします。才能といっても、「絵を描く」や「物を作る」など、そんな「すごい！」と思える、特別なものばかりではありません。私達が思う「才能」は、「人に貢献できるモノ」や、ちょっと「好きなモノ」、そんな、日常の中にちらっと出てくるものも立派に才能だと思います。
「人に貢献できるモノ」と言っても、そんな大層なものでもなく、簡単に言うと、誰かが「ありがとう」と思うものです。なので、「お片付け」や「お手伝い」など、もしかしたら普段、普通にやってることかもしれません。
「好きなモノ」も、例えば、「よく石で遊んでる」や「木を見ると必ず登ろうとする」など、普段気をつけないと、気がつかないようなモノかもしれません。
でも、そのとても日常的なモノこそ、大事な才能だと思います。
私達が、そんな日常の中にある才能を見逃さずに、認めてあげることで、本人が自覚し、自信になっていく。
そんな流れを作っていくのが、使命だと感じています。
